Youthful Spirit - On Sundays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., young people in grades 7 and 8 enjoy dinner, singing and gym games in Grace Center.

Chancel Choir - Director of Music Ministry Ron Fredriksen leads our high school and adult singers in the Chancel Choir. Gathering for weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., this large-group choir leads worship and sings anthems at the 8:30 a.m. service on the 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month.

Praise & Worship Teams - Adults and high school youth who participate in one of the small group contemporary Praise Teams rehearse in one-hour segments with Director Ron Fredriksen on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. The teams are joined by a band to lead the liturgy and sing special music at the 10:45 a.m. contemporary Sunday worship service. Worship Teams provide traditional music at our Saturday 5:00 p.m. or Sunday 8:30 a.m. worship services, and rehearse as scheduled.

Bell Choir - If you are in grade 10 through adult and can read music and have good rhythmic sense, you are a great candidate for our Bell Choir. Rehearsals are Wednesdays during the school year in room 102 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Graceful Ringers - Youth grades 4 through 9 learn the basics of bell ringing in this introductory bell choir, which rehearses in room 102 on Sundays from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Festival Choirs/Children’s Christmas Program - Festival rehearsals are mostly Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. (some Thursdays) as scheduled in advance of Christmas, Transfiguration, Easter, and other festival weekends. Singers who are unable to commit to a regular choir but still wish to sing a few times a year will find our Festival Choirs a great option. Grace’s children present an annual Christmas Program in December. Rehearsals for drama and singing parts begin in November and are usually on Saturdays. All children who wish to participate are welcome—from the biggest shepherd right down to the littlest angel!

Instrumentalists - Instrumentalists of all kinds and abilities are welcome to share their gifts with the congregation in solo, ensemble and large group settings. Our 10:45 a.m. Sunday contemporary service band is a great place to join an ensemble in uplifting praise music. The ability to read music (chord symbols for guitar and bass) is necessary. Help will be provided for those who need assistance in preparing to join this group. Our 8:30 a.m. and festival worship services often involve small and large orchestral accompaniments. We are seeking players for new ensembles, especially brass. Small group and individual instrumentalists also enjoy playing at our relaxed 5:00 p.m. Saturday service. Contact Ron Fredriksen to learn how you can use your instrument in God’s praise!

Sight and Sound Team - Singers or non-singers can help our music ministers by setting up and taking down equipment used for our presentations, including sound technicians. Teams would help with contemporary services and special services including cantatas and children’s presentations.

Special Music Offerings - Individuals, duets, small groups and other opportunities are always available for those who wish to share their gifts in worship! Piano accompanists are also needed for our children and youth choirs.
